I am NOBODY, just like you.
I am a ganja head and I always wanted to go to the Cannabis Cup.
I did that in 99. In 2000 they changed the rules and made judges obsolete! THAT SUCKED!
In 2001, with 9/11 just behind us, it was a small intimate gathering that was great!
In 2002 some additional mis-steps were made, and while some raised questions about the DIRECTION of the '02 cup, it went off without hitch
But now, in 2003, we are at a crossroads! It is TIME that the cup reflect the true ganja afficianado and that the PEOPLE have a voice! To that end, starting TODAY, I, NOBODY, am dedicating my time and resources to help spread the word, to get YOUR VOICE involved and heard, and to make the 2003 Cannabis Cup the PEOPLES CUP!
Please check back for information regarding the cup, the peoples cup movement, 420 in general, 420Tours, Amsterdam and MORE!!!!

Been to the CC 2 times and we're going for #3 this year. Had a great time in 2000, Year of the Godess. Nice spirit at the cup and great music and good speakers. Also went in 2001,with 6 friends. Didn't go to the Melkweg much in 2001 as I thought the choice of bands was crappy. Looking forward to checking out the Arena, as Pax was always very crowded. We've made it to all the shops both times and look at the CC as an adult scavenger hunt and a chance to meet people. I try to keep track of the "best" weed, but truthfully dont have much luck! I was considering not getting a judges pass this year and just getting a couple of "day passes" to the expo, but my buds have talked me into it. The music selections look better this year so we'll prob. go to the Melkweg more. I enjoy the cup and if you're going to Amsterdam for the first time its a great way to get oriented and meet lots of people with "the common interest". Only 2 more weeks!!! See you there, Sly.

if there is gonna be a peoplescup this year there is only one coffeeshop that could win this and that is central coffeeshop on the prinshendrikkade 89 (by the busstation next to central station) it is the shop where the most duch people buy there weed they do the best weed with the best price to it, so if your going to the cup go check them out. they open at 7.00 a.m. and it is buzzy in there then .

No!! Sometimes, not all the time, some coffeeshops offer a discount to judges but ANYONE can purchase the entered ganja!!!

The problem is finding the RIGHT Coffeeshops!

I will check them out in 3 hours (it's 4:33am right now in A'dam)
I will also seek to interview them about WHY they don't partcipate in the cup.
I have found (Living with friends instead of Hotels) that a lot of EXCELLENT ganja is grown on rooftops here by locals! So for locals to recommend coffeeshops is rare(They are very aware of the over fertilization and under curing that is notorious in A'dam)
I am curious to check out your choice....Anyone else have some non-entry shops they want to nominate? Im here all week!
